May 3, 2008 Car Show - Flash from the Past 7th Annual Car Show will include live surfing museum by the Eliminators. Open to all pre-1975 and special interest vehicles, the event will include prizes such as dash plaques, goodie bag, prize and 50/50 raffles. Top 15 will receive trophies. May 3, 2008 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament. Association of Volleyball Professionals is a US Tour of top volleyball players in US. On the beach sand volleyball play makes for an exciting, outdoor game and venue. Other stops on the tour may include Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Long Beach and San Francisco (check avp.com for updates.) Vendors will sell everything from volleyballs to sporting goods and clothing. Often there are free handouts, and celebrity volleyball autograph opportunities. Pontipee brothers live a rough, lonely existence when Adam, the eldest of seven brothers, rides into town one day to pick up some supplies and also picks up a headstrong bride! Millie valiantly attempts to civilize the brothers so that they can find brides of their own. But Millie’s plan backfires when the brothers decide to snatch six women to be their brides!
