May 4, 2008 AVP Crocs Tour - Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament . Association of Volleyball Professionals is a US Tour of top volleyball players in US. On the beach sand volleyball play makes for an exciting, outdoor game and venue. Other stops on the tour may include Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Long Beach and San Francisco (check avp.com for updates.) Vendors will sell everything from volleyballs to sporting goods and clothing. Often there are free handouts, and celebrity volleyball autograph opportunities. May 4, 2008 New exhibition- Surfing Sounds Part II: Jan & Dean. This new exhibit explores the relationship and affect surfing music has on the surfing culture and pop culture, as well. It features original art by Huntington Beach resident, Dean Torrence of Jan & Dean, plus memorabilia from the band's decade-long rise to fame with songs that topped the charts with 28 hits: Deadman's Curve, Little Old Lady from Pasadena, Surf City and more.
