May 4, 2007 Play - Frances Hodgson Burnett’s Tony Award winning
musical is about Mary Lennox, an orphaned girl who lost her parents in an
earthquake in India. Sent to England to live with her embittered uncle who
lost his wife and has never recovered, Mary roams the Yorkshire manor alone.
Finding an overgrown secret garden, the favorite of her aunt and locked up
since her death, Mary and a new friend bring the garden back to life. Sickly
bed-riddent cousin, Colin, is enticed to leave his bed and see the garden.
It's a decision that impacts and changes the lives of all involved. Directed
by Martie Ramm and performed by students of Golden West College. Location:
