Huntington Beach Disc Golf
Course (Frisbee golf) is located
next door to the Equestrian
Center and across the street
from Central Library. The course
begins on a hilltop near Golden
West Street and takes players
through fields, down hills and
near Lake Huntington in Central
Park West. Wednesday Amateur
League begins in afternoon with
all levels invited, handicap
assigned. Two-round tournaments
are held the first Saturday of
each month. Action begins at 10
am, all divisions invited. Bring
your driver and putter discs
along, or buy a new set at a pro
shop that also sells snacks. In
existence for over 20 years
since 1977, this course is the
second built in the nation. The
first was constructed in
Pasadena in 1976. Recent
improvements such as a pro shop
with disc sales & trade-ins,
soft drinks and a portable
restroom are worth the minimal
fee. This popular course enjoys
over 4,000 players each month,
according to Jerry Davis,
co-owner.
The course is quite popular and
provides an enjoyable and
affordable opportunity to have
fun. - Jerry Davis, owner
