Annual non-juried art show with open call, first come first serve acceptance based on wall space. Fee is charged to submit two pieces of artwork by a specific deadline. The art is then presented to the public, free. This annual event is quite popular, allowing the public to show-off their creative talents in a variety of media ranging from paintings and photography to sculptures and wood carving.
Huntington Beach Art Center in Downtown Huntington Beach is a partnership between the city of Huntington Beach and a non-profit organization with the goal of providing an art venue and programs for the residents and visitors.
In addition to featured exhibitions, including and annual open, non-juried show where anyone can participate, there are special daytime art camps for kids in the summer, classes throughout the year and fundraising events such as concerts beer samplings and other events of interest to the public. There is a meeting room in the art center that may be for rent to the public for special events. Contact the art center for details.
