PATRIOTS DAY CEREMONY

Remember the United States of America fallen heroes at the annual Patriots Day Ceremony, hosted by the American Legion Huntington Beach Post 133.
The significance is September 11 is remembered as a series of act of terrorism on September 11, 2001, occurring on American soil. Four airline flights were hijacked. Two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade Center causing collapse of the complex.
Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks (including two other airplane crashes), resulting in the deadliest incident for firefighters in the history of the United States. On every anniversary the names of the victims who died there are read in a ceremony in New York City. The President of the United States asks Americans to observe Patriot Day with a moment of silence.
