ABOUT: Western Surfing Association (WSA) is the oldest amateur surfing association in the US. Established in 1961, it is dedicated to promoting and preserving the sport of surfing through fun, family oriented surf competitions. It is a member of Surfing America.

The WSA Championship Tour is a series of 9 events in
California, followed by a West Coast Championship. WSA events are open to everyone willing to pay the entry and membership fee and sign the waiver of liability. Age division events, determined by date of birth as of Jan. 1 of the current competition season.

• Micro Grom Girls/Boys Under 9
• Boys/Girls Shortboard Under 10 (no adult assist)
• Girls Shortboard Under 12
• Girls Shortboard Under 14
• Girls Shortboard Under 16
• Girls Shortboard Under 18
• Open Women’s Shortboard all ages (Top surfers 18+ in this division
will be invited to surf in the Surfing America USA Championships)
2. Girls/Women Longboard
• Girls Longboard Under 14
• Girls Longboard Under 18
• Open Women Longboard all ages (Top surfers 18+ in this division
will be invited to surf in the Surfing America USA Championships)
3. Boys/Men Shortboard
• Micro Grom Girls/Boys Under 9
