Huntington Beach Car Shows

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California

If you like shiny, classic cars, you will be glad to learn that HB is the quintessential car gathering spot for old-timers and young collectors. Several popular, established car shows attracting collectors throughout Southern California include the prestigious Concours d'Elegance in Central Park. This annual event isn't just the place to be to experience and photograph "beauties", it also is held for a great cause--to help the Children's Library on the grounds of the event.

Another popular and more laid back car show, Beach Cruisers Meet is held in downtown HB and the Huntington Beach Pier. The event usually takes place in the spring so the weather can be overcast with sun breaking through in the afternoon, or absolutely perfect blue-sky weather. The cars in this show are typically woody "woods" and classics with beach theme accessories such as surfboards and vintage suitcases enhancing many cars' displays. This event is free to see.

Surf City Veteran's Day Car Show has been a tougher show to produce as the players in this event change from year to year. Yet, there's a definite passion for the cause, helping veterans and organizations that support them.

There are other annual cars shows, many that come & go for the same reason mentioned (volunteers to run them.).

One of the oldest car shows is held each week at the Ace Hardware parking lot near Adams Avenue Donut shop. That's why it is called Donut Derelicts Car Show. It's more of meetup with no organized structure to it. We've often seen Europeans showing up to scout for classics to match up with buyers back in other countries.
