Sports Central at Sports Chalet in Huntington Beach

Sports Chalet is one of Huntington Beach's favorite sports stores, launched many years ago for serious hikers, skiers, and divers, among the many focused areas of sports and sporting equipment in the store.

While the newer REI came to town and took a bite out of the Sports Chalet's business, the shop has a serious following that will only stray if something's not available in the Beach Blvd. location.

Among their unique offerings is a dive tank in back of the building where you can learn the basics of diving and determine if it's a sport that might suit you. Clinics include ski, skate, skateboard, and scuba. When you are looking for some serious athletic information, check them out. While we've gone there through the years, the swim offering were limited on a visit or two (looking for specific type of swim goggles).

All in all, the Sports Chalet is a good first stop for your sporting needs. If you don't find what you want, it's only a 3 minute drive or several blocks to the REI store at Bella Terra Mall.
