Shipley Nature Center Annual
Native Plant Sale is back in
October, and just in time for
the waterwise garden you plan to
build. As the rates are nearly
guaranteed to rise in 2009, your
water bill may take a spike, and
that alone could be incentive to
start creating more economical
landscaping around your home or
business.
Shipley Nature Center Annual
Fall Native Plant Sale offers
over 100 species to choose from.
There will be advice from master
gardeners, books, literature,
refreshments & entertainment.
Expert advice is just a step
away at this unique event in a
city-owned park reserve that is
operated by volunteers and one
small grant from Community
Services Department of the City
of Huntington Beach. By
purchasing plants and supporting
the Center's worthy causes of
environmentally sound practices,
you'll be helping not only save
yourself money, but invest in
the future of our sustainable
planet.
Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
