Knitting Workshop 101- This class is for beginners and those who are still mastering the basics. Learn to cast on, knit and purl in a relaxed, casual and fun environment! Please bring the following supplies to class with you: A skein of yarn (100% cotton if you wish to make a dish towel or acrylic if you wish to start on a simple scarf) A 2/pk of needles, US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) 10" length (25 cm). Wetlands viewing -The public is invited to visit the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve, a significant flyway for migrating birds. Binoculars recommended. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. 1.5 mile loop trail and 300 acres of protected wetlands! Pets and bicycles are not permitted on the trails. Open sunrise to dusk. Free admission, free parking in small lot.
