Rugs in the shape of surfboards, surf themed wall decor and planter boxes, household gifts, original art and body products are usually featured by vendors selling their creations at this weekly event held at Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier. May 8, 2009 Sweeny Todd, Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s masterpiece of murderous barber-ism and culinary crime is a musical about an unjustly exiled barber. Sweeny Todd returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. His thirst for blood soon expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress of the pie shop. Presented by the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts.
