Beach Art League Demonstrator -
Guest presenter Frank Yang offers demo,
providing art tips and tricks.
Frank Yang, Oil Painter, enjoyed
drawing and painting all his
life, even though he majored in
Health Sciences at Cal State Los
Angeles and worked in
the health industry. Yang’s
passion for drawing and painting
lead him to a position as a
portrait and caricature artist
at Disneyland. His art works
have evolved from realistic
representation to a loose,
semi-abstract impressionistic
style. His brush strokes range
from strong, decisive color to a
pattern of small strokes that
resemble a tapestry of colors
that vibrate, blend and mix on
their own. Frank’s unique
approach to oil painting has
made him a consistent award
winner at art shows and brought
him many commissions for
portraits and family pets. His
affiliations include the
American Society of Portrait
Artists and San Gabriel Fine
Arts Association. Time: 7:30 p.m. Location:
Rodgers Senior Center, 1706
