September 7, 2008 Procession of Light. The Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council will hold its annual unity day at the Huntington Beach Pier. Open to the public, this event brings together all religious faiths (agnostics can come, too) to celebrate life with music, song and words. The event culminates in a bagpiper leading a stroll along the Huntington Beach Pier with the audience carrying battery-operated candle lights. The procedure is to stand at the end of the gated track each dog is placed into and cajole their pet to run to you. The track is fairly short so the run is not strenuous for most pets. Time: TBA.
