May 1, 2008 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball May 1st launch day of the Huntington Beach event includes an annual tradition of inviting kids for volleyball camps and clinics, and a competition for amateur players not on the avp circuit. May 1, 2008 Wetlands viewing - Birders, nature lovers and the curious are invited to drop by the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, one of the West Coast's significant flyways for migrating birds. Bring binoculars to enjoy even closer views of these soaring creatures. Location: Pacific Coast Highway between Seapoint and Warner on the east side of the highway. Enjoy 300 acres, plus a 1.5 mile loop trail. No pets or bikes permitted on the trails. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
