Mother's Celebration Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K. This is a fun run that is clock timed (not chip timed). Bib pick up will be at the start from 6:25-6:30 for Marathon and early start Half Marathon; 6:30AM start time for the Marathon and early Half Marathon. For 10k and Half Marathon 7-7:30 a.m. bib pick up before the 7:30 start. This is an open course -- watch for pedestrians, runners, and cyclists on the beach path. Sunset Beach Mother's Day Art Festival May 7-8, 2016. Time: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Free admission. Location: Pacific Street On the Greenbelt between N. and S. Pacific Ave. near Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Ave. in Sunset Beach. Over 150 booths feature jewelry, clothing, home decor, furnishings, and even toys. Everything is hand-crafted. Fine arts at Firehouse Gallery on 12th Street include oils, acrylics, pen and ink and watercolor. Kids’ Zone next to the Firehouse invites kids to make a Mother’s Day gift and card, paint pictures, play games, and win prizes. Proceeds from the festival benefit various groups. Las Damas women’s service organization hosts the event annually as their biggest fundraiser and service project.
