When East Meets West, symphony concert. Time: 3:30pm Mainstage Theater - Golden West College. $20, $18 student, In our Spring Classical program on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. “When East Meets West”, we celebrate the music of famous composers who were fascinated with musical cultures of distant regions. Conducted by our Music Director Grant Sevdayan the program will feature “Italian in Algeria” by Rossini, “Capriccio Espagnol” by Rimsky- Korsakov, and Symphony N9 from The New World by A. Dvorak. Unparalleled soprano Susan Montgomery- Kinsey will be singing the famous “Vilja” from The Merry Widow by F. Lehar and “Flower Duet” from Lakme by L. Delibes(with Grace Lee – soprano).
