The event is sponsored by the H.B. 9/11 Memorial Committee, a dedicated civic group comprised of members of the HB Police Officers Association, the HB Fire Fighters Association and other leaders in the com-munity. Proceeds from the Barbeque will benefit Huntington Beach’s 9/11 Memorial and Memorial Plaza which is being designed for the Civic Center and scheduled to be dedicated September 11, 2014.
The memorial will incorporate two pieces of steel recovered from the Twin Towers and presented to the HB Police Officers Association and the HB Firefighters Association.
