April 21, 2007 Guy Takayama World Pro-Noseriding Championship features Tandem and Amateur Noseriding, a form of surfing.  Keep your weight back and walk out to the nose of the longboard for a stylish nose ride. Bottom turn on a wave, ride up to the lip and straighten out to ride down the line with your board high on the wave. Ideally, your tail will get buried in the curl of the wave. This helps counterbalance your weight on the nose. Shuffle your feet up to the nose. Start by going just three-quarters forward, and then test your limits. Eventually, you'll be able to hang your toes over the nose. Next, lean back and stretch your legs forward, trying to keep your weight back over the board and off the nose. Arch your back and keep your hands behind you. Keep your weight on your back foot.  Location: HB Pier Southside, PCH & Main St., Huntington Beach, CA  http://www.hblongboardcrew.org/
