August 18, 2007 Distance Derby - 53rd annual running event is OC's longest running race event run on paved roads, flat oceanfront course that starts and finishes at the Huntington Beach Pier Plaza Amphitheater (Main & Pacific Coast Highway cross streets). Time: 6 a.m. registration; no roller blades, no dogs. City of Huntington Beach Community Services is event sponsor. Proceeds to benefit Project Self Sufficiency.
