Surfin' - Direction of a Sport, documents the development of fins in a rare collection that not only shows the original invention, but its numerous size and shape modifications through a 71-year period beginning in 1935. September 13, 2006 Mystery Writers - Lecture sponsored by Friend of the Library. Huntington Beach Friends of the Library are hosting three mystery writers. Author Jerrilyn Farmer ‘s eighth book, “The Flaming Luau of Death,” was released this year. Cara Black’s next book, “Murder on the Ile Saint-Louis,” is scheduled for release in March 2007. Harley Jane Kozak’s third novel, “Dead Ex,” is ready to print. Time: lunch at noon followed by the authors’ lectures and book signings. Cost is $15 per person. The works are then displayed and sold at auction as a fundraising event for the Huntington Beach Art Center.
