February 10, 2006 Farmer's Market and Art A-Faire Held weekly on Friday from Noon to Dusk (approx. 5 p.m.) Held most Fridays at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, a certified Farmer's Market sells the finest California grown fruits and vegetables, breads, nuts, flowers and perishables. February 10, 2006 Tea and Romance - Friends of the Library will feature two exciting authors at an annual February Valentine's Tea tradition called Tea and Romance. Author and physician John Etzkorn will discuss his novel, Sierra Quest, about two strangers who meet on a hiking trip in the Sierra Nevadas and fall in love. Suzanne Enoch, romance writer will spin love's web in tales about characters from her romantic novels such as Meet Me at Midnight. Book purchases and a booksigning will follow the lecture with a portion of sales proceeds donated to the nonprofit Friends organization for library programs. The event begins at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30) at the Central Library Room C/D. Cost is $18/person for the tea and lively entertainment. February 10, 2006 Art - Windows Gallery in Huntington Beach Central Library is holding its annual Member's Co-op Show of the Huntington Beach Art League. Located on the first floor of the library, the exhibit features works from amateur and professional artists with varied themes that range from landscapes to abstracts. This mixed media exhibit is free to see. Membership to the nonprofit Huntington Beach art club is open to the public. This special show goes through February 28, 2006.
