April 29, 2006 - Get up and Move! Huntington Beach
Chamber's Health & Wellness Committee and A Snail's Pace is teaming up and
issuing a challenge. This walking program is designed to get you started on
a safe and injury free way of walking. Our goal, in addition to having fun,
will be to complete a group walk on April 29 at the Huntington Beach Pier.
Contact the chamber for a suggested walking schedule for the month and a
series of stretches, which will prepare you for our group walk. It's
important to know the most frequent reasons for not sticking with an
exercise program are "too much to soon" (overdoing it) and not being
consistent in the number of days you train per week. By following the method
of training you can reduce the chance of injury, which leads to more
consistent training. This leads to more consistent training and better
fitness. The most important factor to remember is that you walk 3 times a
week. Time: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Location: Pier Plaza, foot of the stairs on
the boardwalk
Huntington Beach, CA. Contact Name : Pam Wilkinson, Phone : 714 536-8888.
Cost: Free.
