April 22, 2006   Surfing - National Scholastic Surfing Association NSSA 2005/2006 Southwest Conference Explorer Season competition. Contest 9 in this series is an A rated 2-day event from April 22 to 23. It will be held at 42nd Street in Manhattan Beach. It is open to (age as of 1/1/06) mens 18 and up; juniors 15 to 17 years; boys 13 to 14 years old; menehuene 12 and under; longboard all ages; masters 24 to 34 years; seniors 35 to 44; super seniors 45 and up; girls 14 and under; womens all ages. April 22,  2006  Tour -  Take a tour of the Shipley Nature Center. Trained docents provide renovation information, answer questions, and lead tours. You are free to wander the trails, view renovation progress, and spot birds, turtles and other wildlife.
