April 24, 2005  Food Event - A Taste of Huntington Beach is a food and wine extravaganza. For one admission price, guests 21 and older can sample chefs' preparations with unique recipes from their restaurant kitchens. Dozens of restaurants and wineries participate in this extremely popular one day event sponsored by the Huntington Beach Restaurant Association to raise funds for Huntington Beach Library Children's Wing. Longboard Restaurant & Pub, Duke's Huntington Beach, Aloha Grill and Chimayo at the Beach all participate. Location: Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. April 24, 2005   Newland House Museum Tour - The historic Newland House is features a museum and docent led tours from local historians who provide information about the two-story Victorian home built in 1898. April 24, 2005  Photography and Multimedia in Partnership with the Imagination Celebration of Orange County. This exhibition of student work features stunning visual images in a variety of media, including photography, animation, digital arts, film and computer graphics of children age K-12. April 24, 2005  Artist Reception for Photography and Multimedia in Partnership with the Imagination Celebration of Orange County. A special performance by Izzi Tooinsky includes a blend of storytelling enhanced by the art of juggling and creative wordplay. April 24 , 2005   Surfing - NSSA Southwest Conference Explorer Season Event #9 The Explorer Season is a ten event schedule running one weekend per month from September to June. The Southwest Conference competition program is regarded by the surfing industry, surfing publications, etc., as the highest level of surfing competition in the western United States. Competitive membership in this conference is approximately 1000 members. Because of the level of competition and the high media exposure, competitors come from the entire state of California to compete in the Southwest Conference events.
